We work both in Santa Fe and Pagosa Springs, Colorado. We believe our greatest attribute is our attention to detail and our ability to create exactly what our clients are looking for in their custom home.
We are staffed by friendly helpful professionals with decades of experience in building residential custom homes. Our project managers and tradesmen all work towards the same goal, to deliver the finest custom home to a satisfied client. We have several subcontractors that we use on a regular basis because of their attention to detail in every level of craftsmanship.
MANY STYLES
We build many styles including Northern New Mexico pitched roof, Colorado Lodge, Southwestern Territorial and Santa Fe Pueblo style. We incorporate modern technologies and new products, but rely on "tried and true" methods of building that have been around for centuries.

CUSTOM HOMES
Our homes are all one of a kind and totally custom, working with a wide range of materials. In Santa Fe, we specialize in adobe. For those of you unfamiliar with adobe, it is a brick made from a combination of dirt, clay, straw and sand, which is approximately 10"x14"x3".
Some other mediums that we use
in our custom homes are:
• carved corbels
• plaster ceilings with vigas
• latillas or hand-hewn beams
• tile, wood or flagstone floors
• hand trowled plaster walls
• aspen and pine tongue and groove
• a wide array of heating and cooling systems
Since some of our homes have been in the historical parts of Santa Fe, we have worked closely with the Historical Society in combining the clients needs while keeping the historical value of their property.
ONE-ON-ONE COMMUNICATION
We have found that communication is critical to running any project. That is why all our project managers can be reached at anytime to answer any question in a timely manner. We find that this keeps a project running smoothly.
Some of our clients do not live in Santa Fe or Pagosa Springs while their custom home is being built so we use a digital camera, in conjunction with email, to keep our clients updated.
We recognize that building a custom home is a one-on-one process that is highly personal. Our attention to detail has caused many of our client to return to Carr Construction as their home and business expands. Our services extend beyond the traditional role of construction company to include architect referrals, site analysis, energy planning, and nature/habitat preservation planning for the construction process.
Building a home can often be difficult at times, but it is our job to keep it fun, That’s the easy part, since we enjoy what we do. Custom home building is an art and a skill, which we provide for all of our clients. Given our experience with complex projects, we have worked closely with architects in the design phase to make sure that any problems are addressed at that time.
